I was, by profession, a Landscape Architect who lives with my wife Heidi, and our dogs Koa and Ollie in Rocklin, California. I retired in February 2022. I started seriously modeling at 12-years old when I purchased the January 1969 Model Railroader magazine. On the cover was John Allen's famous model railroad, and from there I was hooked.
Since that time I have modeled in HO scale standard gauge, On3 scale narrow gauge, On30 narrow gauge, an now 1:24 G or F....whatever gauge/scale. My primary modeling interests include scratch building structures, scenery, and creating vinguette scenes that hopefully tell a little story.
My home layout occupies approximately 385 square feet of indoor space, and includes a loop design on the larger "upper" layout, plus a point-to-point Gn15 logging railroad below the upper layout.
I also participate in the Northern California Narrow Gaugers Club, where I have built a number of different modules over the years (see the Galleries section).
I hope you enjoy the site and find inspiration like I have in so many other modeler's work.
